Came home last night to find one of my other kitties (we have 6 total, but only one Sphynx) with the second eyelid closed over one eye and the pupil blown in the other. Rushed her off to the vet and they looked under the lid - no scratches - and gave her subq fluids for dehydration. She had also lost a pound since she was there in February. They're running a full blood work up and I'll get the results tonight. If that doesn't show anything he wants to do an ultrasound. Her eyelid has opened now, but the pupil is still much larger in the other eye. I don't have much hope that it's anything easily treatable.

Thank you for letting us know. You never know. It may not be as bad as you're expecting. Try to stay positive until you get more news, & please keep us all informed. My best thoughts & wishes are with you & your kitty:Smile:

Thanks everyone!
Well, we don't have the urine or FeLV results back yet, but the blood work shows her thyroid is off the charts. It should be around a 2 with them getting concerned after 4. When they run the tests, they only count up to 24. Hers is somewhere more than 24. We're going to find out the remainder of the results tomorrow and then probably get her started on a thyroid medication. FeLV is still a concern but if it is that, one good thing is, because of some excessive aggression from her brother against Ash, the house is divided so not all the cats have been exposed to her - which includes Ziggy. Of course we're hoping it'll be just the thyroid. I already give Ash pills twice a day so I can just add her's to my routine.

Thanks again everyone! Final tests in and the FeLV and FIV were negative. YAY! So we'll be starting her on the thyroid meds tomorrow. Wish I could today, but didn't get the final results in until too late to order it for today. But she has been eating some Hill's a/d.

Thanks everyone! A couple of days of meds and she's eating better. I've finally been able to mix her meds into her food to give it to her. She's a scrappy one to give pills to so we got compounded liquid, but we had to give it to her with a syringe in her mouth at first because she wasn't eating.
