So, today is the first time I've mixed up a batch of food using the BiTR mix that doesn't have the eggs. I was SO disappointed. The mix is really dusty, and it got all over my kitchen. And, I had to add a significant amount of extra water to make mixing and stirring possible.

With all this extra water, I am concerned now that the portions of food won't have the proper balance of nutrients. Does anyone know if that is a valid issue?

Also, I'm thinking about possibly switching products. What is the most comparable product mix to BiTR that you have discovered?

Grrr. I hate things like this. It's hard enough to keep my picky eaters eating, and now this change :(

We have had to make it for a few months now with adding the egg yolks ourselves. We do notice that we need to add a little more water to make it stir-able and at the consistency our kiddos like. We have started feeding a little larger portions than before accounting for the extra water. Nutritionally I do not feel there has been any compromise and we have not seen any ill effects at all from this in our kids (my two girls have IBD and super sensitive to food changes). We are on our second five LB bag of BiTr since the change in recipe due to the avian flu.

We have not found anything comparable that we feel comfortable trying at this point.

We only just started using BiTR in this past month, so we have never had the mixture beforehand when it had egg yolks in it. We have been using the recipe as it suggests, with the amount of water it suggests, and it seems to be working good for us. It is a bit thick when we are mixing it, but the cats love it and haven't had any issues eating it.

We researched and chose BiTR from the reviews...but I do know that some other raw feeders use Alnutrin.

I contacted them directly, and received a very nice response. They have offered to send me a new bag as soon as the recipe is returned to the original which includes the eggs. I am very pleased with their customer service. And, I do love the product!
