The vet said two weeks in the cage! So we have 5 more days! She gets her stitches out then too. Then in a month they will go in and take the pin out. I just can't believe this happened to her

:) Took lucy to watch her brother play soccer the other day! I held her the whole time! She loved it!

My little girl Hedy (the black and white) broke her femur only after having her for 1 week. She presented the the same way, came home from work and she was dragging the leg. Of course her brother is not fessing up to any shenanigans. I have a fantastic vet and he gave me the options. We chose the FHO (femoral head osteotomy) due to cost and not a prolonged recovery. She was up and about 2 days later. She healed wonderfully and doesn't even have a limp. The head of the femur is removed and a "false" joint forms and fuses. She has not slowed down one bit and continues to jump and run. So glad your little kitty is doing well and she is very pretty. Girls....they are always a handful!!!

Oh your poor baby but so happy to hear she is doing great! And wow that surgery sounds amazing! We love our vet but weren't given very many options. I just hope and pray that everything heals correctly! Also sorta nice knowing that my curious sphynx kitten isn't the only
One to break a bone!

Awe she does look happy. If that was Frida she would be trying to get down the whole time (she likes to cuddle but not to be held) what a good girl! Healing vibes!
