Brown is a new brown…

Hello beautiful people,

Hope everybody’s doing well. So, I have a question: my boy is getting brown spots in his armpits, thighs and on his belly literally right on the next day after I bath him… is it normal? Like can they get this oily so quickly? I don’t want to bath him every day, I usually do like once in 2-3 weeks, but those brown spots are back on the next day…

Is anyone else experiencing such thing?

Usually happens if not rinsed fully after a bath…especially the hard to rinse areas like armpits, belly, neck etc. always rinse with clean water rinse well, and when done, rinse again. @shadowsdad. Also over bathing is not good….as it strips the skin of it’s natural oils and makes them oilier. Try to go 2 weeks between baths and go from there. Baby wipes between are great.

Omg seriously? Because I was already jumping into the worse options possible... Even tho I rinse him very thoroughly, as I'm afraid that the shampoo remain on his skin and he will lick it, I will be rinsing him even more so. Thank you!

I was using baby shampoo but then my vet sold me this (picture attached). My vet also said to only bathe my kitty when she starts to feel greasy. That is about once a month. But I try to wash her face and clean her ears every day with warm water and a face cloth.
