Buck and Buffy

I rescued Buck and Buffy in July of this year. They haven't been separated since conception. I have their direct brother, Baldwin, who doesn't nurse...so, I wasn't surprised to find that Buck often nursed on Buffy when they were cuddling. So, I've always been getting on to Buck for this behavior and separating the cats when I hear it. Tonight, I realized Buffy is TRYING to get Buck in trouble:

How cute is that? Buffy is a little stinker, isn't she? It amazes me how little Buffy is compared to Buck!

She's tiny. Baldwin and Buck are right at 9 pounds. Buffy is 5 pounds soaking wet. She's just NOW at a normal weight. She got down to 4.2 pounds before I FINALLY found a way to get her to gain weight. Poor girl, probably burns more calories in a day than I do. lol.

I just wish I had her metabolism. She can easily eat 3 cans of cat food or twice the amount the boys eat (together!) in raw and still remain petite.

I was truly concerned about early age hyperthyroidism until she started gaining weight. Who hears of that at 20 months of age?!

Well, I've heard breastfeeding burns a lot of calories...perhaps that is her secret to staying so thin?
