my 4 year old Richie was not as dark when we bought him from a breeder. I’ll post pictures for comparison. Anyone know what could be the cause of this? I bathe him once a week . Sometimes he escapes outside and doesn’t come home for about 30 minutes at most. Is it a change in diet?

Our dark girl got lighter as she aged and our lighter babies got darker as they aged. It is normal.
I know it is crazy and sometimes it doesn’t even seem possible it is the same cat.

Yes it can be normal especially if they are sunning themselves more frequently.

Your baby is a seal color. They are thermals— born very light like a pinky, the develop the darker point patterns as they grow. By the time they are adults they darken down very much...almost appearing a solid color. It is just what should be happening.
