I don't know if I'm doing a wonderful job with her....but it sure wouldn't be for lack of trying and for sure not for a lack of love. She wants to live. She wants to be loved and she wants to play and I want those things for her. I hope the good Lord lets me have her for a very long time...and that she gets big enough to fight off illnesses and maintain her body temperature enough to be happy. I don't care about anything else....I just want her to have a life full of love like she deserves. I won't give up on her as long as she wants to live. She's a precious treasure, this tiny little lion-hearted girl.
Thanks for saying I'm doing a good job....I am trying so hard to do everything I can for her. Can you see from the pics a little of her personality? Does it shine through? I wish you all could know her. She is so sweet, she crawls up on my lap and cuddles up to my arm or my leg...I try to pet her, but there is hardly any flesh over her skeleton. I am thinking how uncomfortable it must feel when all of a sudden she snuggles into my touch and begins to purr.....She is a joy.

Will you keep her Susi? You are doing a great job with her. I know when one of our pups are struggling we decided if he lived we would keep him. Sadly at 9 days, he passed. Although, I see Candy Cane living a long and happy life!
You can definitely see her little boney butt, BUT like you said she's gaining and making progress!!! Way to Go Candy!! (how old is she now?)

Sweetest face EVER! I bet she looks so stinkin cute jumping around playing
She doesn't jump around too much, my_fuzzle, she is so tiny that she doesn't maintain much body heat, so she spends most of the time cuddled up on the heated throw or by the heat register when the furnace comes on. I am hoping she will gain enough to be able to stay warm enough on her own. She is beginning to get a tiny bit playful...she will bat at something once in a while. She also is sort of congested in the nose all the time--vet says it's because she doesn't have enough body mass to fight the nasal congestion off either, so I have to make sure her nose is damp and not crusted over so she will be able to breathe well enough and so she'll eat.
But she's worth it.

She is almost 14 weeks. She was born on 12/16/10. Yes, most likely she will live out her days here with me.....

Susi,
You ARE doing the best you can. You can only do what you know and what the vet can tell you. Without you she might not be here. You must be doing something right. If the Lord wanted he, he would have done it. I think he has enough of our kitties. She is a strong girl and just needs some more love and prayers. She is tiny, but thats ok. Look how small she is compaired to your hand. I love all those pictures. I love the last one.

She is gorgeous,and makes the sweetest little elf! I think that situations like this are what make you breeders so special. My hubby and I have talked about breeding because we love the sphynxes so much, but I don't know that I am strong enough to deal with the cases like this. You are a great woman!
