Cat litter problems

So I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my cat litter. We use Dr.Elsys and Scarlett loves it, she does so good with it. BUT I've been noticing that when she pees, it goes all the way to the bottom of the box and I have to scrap so hard to get it off, that it leaves little "pepples" everywhere and i can't pick them up with the scooper because they're too little. It's a clumping litter so I don't know why it's seeping all the way to the bottom. Maybe I'm not putting enough litter in the box?

It could be litter is extra absorbent. Try more litter and see if that works, if not try adding another litter and transition. We all have hopes something will work and be cost efficient, but ultimately our kitties tell us and we are stuck...otherwise behavioral issues start and that is not ideal.

Probably not enough litter. Make it deep.

I use the same brand, and on fresh box day I fill it with almost 4 inches of litter. I dump more in as I scoop daily, and I find that if I don't keep it nice and deep that the pee clumps can get gluey to try and scoop.

Ok I'm definitely not putting enough litter! Lol how often do you completely change the box? Thanks!

We have a giant box, and both of mine use it. I completely throw it all away once a week. I use heavy duty poly plastic (from home depot) as a liner. On the last day before I throw it all out, I scoop it but don't refill any litter. That way I can stretch out the litter and use it all up. It's pricey at $16 a bag here

yep use more litter . I had 2 Cats and brought in another and the girl was doing the same thing, she pee'd so much that it went all the way to the bottom. I use now a bit more litter in all boxes and it does not happen. She and the one small one are "diggers" they dig to china and back. I change every couple weeks .

I have giant litter boxes that get scooped a few times a day and litter needs to be replaced at least every 2 days (I keep mine deep bcuz I have diggers) I have noticed that the litter gets pulled away from corners and when they urinate there and there isn't enough litter I run into the same problem of it sticking to the box and your right it is impossible to get it up. I have remedy this problem by adding extra to the corners and also when iam done scooping I redistribute the litter all over the box. It is necessary to make litter very deep in the long run your house smells fresher and box stays cleaner long without having to do a total change of litter. I stock pile litter so I can be generous with it their urine pulls so much litter out every cleaning it has to be replaced.

I just added a bunch of litter and it seems to be working! She loooooves to dig! It's so funny, she spends more time digging than she actually does doing the "business" haha

Totally random, but if you don't mind me asking, did you buy or make your boxes? I saw on one of my favorite catteries FB that yet make their own out of storage containers but I'm afraid if I did make one like that Solara wouldn't be able to get into it. We're on our 3rd try with a new litter box and she STILL manages to get litter all over the bathroom even with the dome one we have right now. And we've only had her 3 months xD so it's like buying a new box each month
