So I have a funny story to share. I have been lurking and reading everyone's posts but haven't had the time to respond. Getting ready for my new job that I start tomorrow and trying to do yard work and get the house ready for Yuri. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well next weekend. I plan on working very hard with him to make sure he is comfortable and feels safe.
Onto my story!!!
The husband and I were at the grocery store getting meat for Nigel and Yuri's meals as they are both on raw. We shopped at Costco and Sam's Club both looking for the best deals.
In Costco I was looking at some chicken drumsticks and looked at my husband and said "We can get cat meat cheaper at Sam's. We should go there. I guess we can go to the Spanish meat market and check out their deals this week too. They usually have good deals on cat meat."
I did not notice there was a lady paying very close attention to us. She FREAKED out. Oh my gosh! "How dare you eat cat!!! They don't sell cat meat here you monster!!!"
So I had to politely explain what I call "cat meat" is meat that I feed my cat. I told her I make all of his food. She got all uppity at me saying I need to watch what I say. So I said thanks and we left.
I still call it "cat meat" and when I buy big packages and freeze them I write "cat meat" all over the package so when we go through the freezer I know how much we have left.
Here are some photos of Nigel inspecting his prepared meals. And it shows the containers I store them in! 1$ for 5 at dollar tree.
Sorry they are all sideways I haven't had time to edit them.
