Ciels babies

Sorry I havent posted updates..
We lost one of the male kittens Saturday. But the others seem to be thriving.
They are showing signs of hint of color on their ears and one is shading up a pale pale grey.

So sorry for your little man that didn't make it. The others look so precious!! I haven't seen new born pictures before and didn't realize they all came out pink and then changed colors. I was so disheartened at the loss of the largest little male. Ciel lay on him while I was gone to the Waco cat show. Richard never thought to check on them.
But it could have happened even if he had checked.
Tonight I noticed that their little ear tips are even darker. They are showing hints of points for sure.
I don't think I will ever want to bred again. I hold those who do in highest admiration. But it is nerve wracking and heartbreaking.

It happens sometimes that mom will lay on one of the little ones....that's exactly why i take vacation when mom is due....the first 2, 3 weeks are the hardest...when they get a bit bigger and stronger...it becomes eassier

Tonight all the babies look really really good. All of a sudden they are looking filled out, even more plump then yesterday. Their little bellies are round and tight. Ciel keeps them so very clean and she cuddles them so sweetly. I think she is being very careful and attentive of them. I noticed tonight that their ears are indeed darker tipped and some shading is showing up on their faces. I do believe I have all seal points.
