Did u get my post about if they will hurt the kitties? I am here in AZ we have a ton of a scorps and I would like to know more! She gets em? Eats em? What's the whole run down lol Can u share w me?
Apparently they are slower than cats, so most cats are able to play with them and avoid the stinger. And the bark scorpions that you and we have are not too dangerous unless there is an allergy to the venom. There is also antivenin available if a bad sting happens. There are theories that cats aren't terribly affected by scorpion stings because their skin is thick and other breeds of cats have hair
. But I still hate to have Cleo play with them.
We have the exterminator spray regularly and we've learned to pay attention when the cats start acting like they are really interested in something. Hope this helps. Pm me if you want to talk about it more. JulieHi--I started to post before, and got sidetracked.I'm sorry. Cleo usually finds them and gets Bob to kill them. Then she gets lots of praise and treats! I researched them after we caught her playing with one when she was 15 weeks old.
