A lot of people use clothes designed for dogs from places like petsmart and petco - big pet store chains in the US.

You do get clothes which are made specifically for sphynx which are a little longer, you can find these by searching online but it is against the rules of the board to post the names of these stores here.

We only really use them when our boys are chilly.

thanks for the reply, I didnt know it was against rule to name sites for that so then I wont ask :)

Where I live it would most likely be concideret cruel to put clothes on your Sphynx and the sites ive seen all say that there is no need and the cat will seek out blankets and warm places if its cold.
Thats why i asked cos as i said its just not something you see over here :)

Yes, like @zoinks says there are especially for sphynx garments available online, some are stylish and totally awesome but they can be expensive. That's fine for a full grown adult but maybe not so much for a baby that will outgrow something within weeks. Up north where you are your baby's definitely going to need clothing (and would thank you for a heated bed, too!). My Eudo turns to mush when I put the "soul-sucking" clothing on him, so he has a very small wardrobe that he is made to wear only occasionally in the Texas dead of winter.

I crochet my naked baby clothes heres one that I just finished a minute. It keeps here so warm. I've been making them since she was three months old. I make new ones when she hits a growth spurt lol ago

yea I mean right now its near tropical temperatures but we do sometimes get cold winters and even if I do have loads of blankets ( I do love blankets lol) I would still be a bit worried that it would get a cold

If you use the central air id put clothes on them to keep them warm. Blu bay wears her sweater when I have the air on. Just to keep her warm

oh no only shops and maybe a few wealthy people have air cons over here, normal houses and flats dont have anything like that. Its not that often we get this high temperatures with tropical days and nights. We do have warm summers but it could also just be a cool and wet summer. Then again we dont get the really cold winters cos we are surrounded by water 7 oceans so that will keep the temperatures chilly instead of freezing

Edit: Saying that if I was to take a sphynx to the vets in winter then I would need to wrap it up nice and warm

@Lady- we are in warm Florida with air conditioning - we do not put clothes on except for maybe a holiday photo -
We have throw blankets and a little space heater by their cat tree . We are afraid they are so active they would get the clothing stuck on something - so for us - they run naked :)

Blankets are great inside the house....I put blankets on my sofas and the cats get under them.

I bought some clothes online on a web site called Etsy. This is not a store, it is a market place like Amazon or Ebay, but it's for people that like to make things and they sell what they make.

I only put clothes on them for fun when I have friends visiting or I want to take pictures.

@Baby Blu , that is great you can do that. I have a friend that makes clothes for her Yorkie dogs but it takes time. I go with different bandanas depending on the season or the holiday - lol the cats have no idea how much fun we have at their expense.

Thanks @ condo commando. It takes me maybe an hour or two if I break btw. But she wears them well. They can even be cleaned in the washer. Yes I love dressing her up lol. She's my little lady

oh poor critters if they knew what we were doing then god help us ;) I also find myself looking into harnes stuff cos I want to try and walk it a little Even if its not use to it Im told that they are intelligent enough to be able to learn and Im guessing I can always bribe it with treats until it hopefully finds out that its actually fun to get out a bit

O yea. It took blu baby one day to get use to the leash but she wore the harness since she was six months. Try it in sure he or she will like it. Let me know

My cats had to learn to walk with a harness and leash. It's funny but since they are not used to it, they kind of fall down very easily. Their balance is still bad. I suggest getting the lightest leash with the smallest metal clip you can find.

This is exactly what I do. Frida only wears clothes when we are going out. We only have a few hot months where I live that she doesn't need clothes outside. Most of the time she needs both her sweater and her travel blanket. At home she has a heat pad to sleep on and loads of blankets around

@Lady , there is someone (@DarkWing ) that has been posting recently from Koeln, Germany. That is not too far from you right? Anyway maybe this other person can give you some guidance where you can find a Sphynx.
