Lucifer is suffering from a nasty case of the runs... Just now he produced something that resembled water more than poo  Then he stepped in the middle of it and shook his paw so it covered his litter box (had just cleaned it, sigh)
I'm going to call the vet tomorrow, but if anyone has any quick tips.
I don't understand how it happened, he was doing so well with solid poo lately. At least it doesn't smell like Giardia, more like runny baby poo.

I feel so bad for him, must be awful  hope he just gets over it in a few days!

Mine had the same thing. I took them to the vet and he gave them some antidiareahha meds. Then I had to put them on a consistent diet of Royal Canin for Sensitive Stomachs and nothing else.

A quick update on Lucifer:

We realised he had been nibbling from a hyacinth (which we had thrown out a couple of days ago) and looked up whether it was toxic, which it was.... We had no idea!
We just got back from the vet, who gave him an injection to get rid of the toxins and some pills for the diarrhea. The injection really stung and it was the first time I had ever heard him hiss! I think he scared the vet a little, haha.

Poor thing had an accident on the way back, so we had to bathe him immediately when we got home. He hates being bathed, so that was another bad experience today. He completely scratched me open with his poo covered nails so I'm in pain now too (putting Dettol on open scratches is not something I recommend!)
He's snoozing right now, so we'll leave him alone for a while before we give him the medicine.

Thanks for the well wishes and advice everyone!

Aww, gee. How come the runs came back? So frustrating & nerve wracking. I can only imagine. I hope it clears up soon or the vet can figure out what may have caused it. Maybe he snuck n' 8 something he wasn't suppose to? Possibility, no?:Woo:

It was the hyacinth he nibbled on, we realised it when we started thinking on what he could have eaten that he was not supposed to...
Vet did some bloodwork too, so no infection, only the toxin from the plant. He should be better in a few days!

I has to laugh out loud when a saw the title "diarrhea" was posted by "Inflamed". I know when I have that particular problem, my bum gets "inflamed". On a serious note, we have found we can't have house plants, Abby eats them and then gets an upset tummy. The only things that don't bother her are catnip and grass.

I hadn't really thought of it that way, but now that you mention it :LOL::LOL:

Yea, no plants here anymore either. Luckily I don't really have a green thumb anyway!

Glad it was just that he 8 something he shouldn't have & that there is nothing medically wrong with him. No more poo poos for him & no more boo boos for you:ThumbsUp::BigSmile:
