Hi yes her name is cleo should be picking her up the 8th so excitingCute! My guess is seal point. Have you picked a name yet?
Thanks for the info! Im definitely nervous ive been reading alot of info on here about their care. I think we are picking her up on the 8th. The breeder always answers all questions but that one always slips my mind ♀️@ashleyj , welcome to the lair family! soo excited for your upcoming gotcha! she is adorable. all paws are family.
never hesitate to ask questions.
I joined here over a decade ago with my first and never looked back. we gotcha! *** kitty proof everything in your home. plants, etc. before bringing her home. they are busy buddies!
**also, I recommend making an appointment for a wellness check around your gotcha date. I called in advance to make an appointment day (vets get booked up fast) .
*** check your contract, some breeders have a clause for a wellness check within a certain time period
keep us updated on the date.
I am terrible with colors. agree with catzzzmeow. let us know what color the breeder says she is. also sharing a helpful link.
What to expect from a responsible sphynx breeder
We get this question quite a bit here on Sphynxlair so I figured we would compile some useful information, a check list if you will for a first time sphynx buyer or even an existing sphynx parent looking to get another sphynx cat or kitten. All of these items listed below aren't necessarily deal...sphynxlair.com

I know I've never even seen one in real life! Yea I've been reading alot of old post an like oh man what did I do some are so prissy an little trouble makers lol I seen alot of people having issues with the biting or attacking an that kind of scares me a little. Yea her name will be Cleo❤️@ashleyj , no worries, we gotcha on tips with care etc. Your breeder definitely can offer suggestions. I was so nervous with my first nakid. I never felt one until I got her. she felt so warm like a warm handball. I thought she would be so fragile... not... and lots of spunk.
I will share they are lightening fast! always running under my feet and quick to doors! I had to train myself to look down at my feet. I open and close exterior doors slowly. I actually walk out backwards with my foot at the bottom of the door to make sure no attempts to run out. I did train to a meet and greet spot, a chair away from the door with a treat and praise.
You will get in a routine of care. I find it is not complicated and goes fairly quickly.
ask your breeder about food , litter preferences too. many keep on same litter, style of litter box and food when they come home. your breeder can tell you what shampoos, ear cleaners, nail trimmers etc she uses and tips.
we are here for you on your journey with your baby!!
we can share transporting tips too.
( I personally ALWAYS secure in a carrier, buckled in with seatbelt, not on lap loose in car. I cover 3 sides of hard plastic crate with a towel to make a comfy cave with a towel inside. they have all slept on the way home on gotcha days. ) loose in a car risk of getting out, getting under gas brake pedals or into steering wheel. ( not to be grim, however, I am personally sensitive to loose pets in cars or on laps because my aunt and her pup died in rollover from loose pet in car). it only takes a second. I remember when I adopted, the breeder told me "keep him safe".
we will be counting down July 8th gotcha with you!!! never hesitate to ask questions. the info center and the top right search box helpful for specific topics.
oh, forgot to share, recommend bringing a stool sample check to wellness appointment .
following closely for updates, BTW, do you have a name idea? name list? she is soooo cute!!!
Oh I'm sooo excited!!! Ive started buying so much pinkCleo is a real little beauty, you must be so excited
Cleo is gorgeous. The biting is only them wanting to interact with you Mine at 5 years does this and I just grab one of his toys on a long elastic string Stick the one end in my pants pocket and start walking around the house cleaning thing So he chases, attacks and ambushes the poor toy. My house at least gets cleaned in places I normally only do once a month. So it is a win win situation. Just redirect that energy onto anything at the end of a sting. They are intelligent animals but not to smart once something is dangling and moving.I know I've never even seen one in real life! Yea ive already bought lots of those toys. My husband got attacked by a cat when he was little but I grew up with them so im excited for him to experience a cat. Oh yes plenty of pics!Cleo is gorgeous. I can not wait to hear all about your adventures of being a first time mom. It is really fun So please post loads of pictures when she comes home and share everything she does.
He does actually! Yea thats what the breeder told him also. We was at a store that has rescue cats an one of them put their paw up to the cage an he jumped back i was like wow u really are afraid of them , didn't know it was that bad. Gosh I didn't even realize it was only 7 days !!If your hubby grows or has some facial hear He is going to be the best human for you cat. Mine has no daddy but when we go visit friends and someone has facial hair Wow even I get jealous. He just wants to cuddle up to them and rub his face on their chin and bristles. This little one will melt your husbands heart and she will heal that childhood traumas in less than a week . I am getting so excited for you 7 days to go and counting
