Hello All..
I've noticed Bau do something funny today and I'm wondering what he's doing. He's been kind of kneading blankets, pillows, and the sofa with his paws. Like stepping back and fourth softly. His body is kind of shaking too, while he does it. When we pet him while he's doing it he meows at us. Thanks for the info.

We call it making muffins in our house. Cats often do this as a sign of comfort. Cats knead on their mother's chest when they are kittens to help stimulate nipples and get more milk. It is natural.

@Kiri Bau is giving you a big compliment with the kneading. Bau's says he feels at home and comfortable. Cats do this at their mothers chest to get the milk going. When cats grow up sometimes they do it at moments they feel good and loved. So...well done, keep on doing the good job.

Frida does this to certain blankets in the house too. She likes to hold her head really close to the blanket and drools all over it. Lol. I always know she is happy when she does this.
