What is your favorite brand / style nail clipper for your sphynx?
The one with the finger rest extension or without?

I have bought 3 nail clippers in the past 3 months and they do not work as well as my ten year old nail clippers :(

My boys have very thick nails - Most clippers seem to crush or split the nails.
I am left handed which doesn't help lol

I May be using the dog nail clippers soon by millers forge
but prefer the small cat specific trimmers
(I did not like the new millers forge brand cat trimmer :( I just bought and was excited to try since the dog version works great)

Thank you in advance :)

The two photos included are the two worst clippers I ever ever used

I use the very basic/inexpensive clippers. I think I am due to buy a new pair. When clippers are not sharp, they tend to crack the existing nail shell when you cut off the tips of the nails. Mine are old. I think I will stick with the same style as I am comfortable with them and that means quicker. @Yoda mom interested to see if some find benefits from other clippers, nice thread.

may try small dog clippers :) for his Super thick nails
I have the green handled one too
Perhaps I do not get same results because I am left handed lol

I bought the black plastic handles ones and they do not make a clean cut for me
Like my old blue rubber handled ones

I just bought the all stainless millers forge brand and I find they crush

@Catzzzmeow , thanks for the pic
My favorite are just like that but with the finger extension

I will keep searching for them

May just buy them their own regular human toe nail clipper like in attached photos
- would appear more ambidextrous :)

Just tried the green ones, they work amazingly well!! So those are now a favourite.
Don't buy the WAHL cat nail clippers (the ones with the orange handle and spring) they just crush the nails!
@Yoda mom I forget the name of the brand, but when I was picking up the nail scissors today, they had ones that are the scissors design and have a spring to help cut thicker nails. The cool thing was they had bars for handles (they looked like pliers), so no scissor handle holes. Both handles were the same so they would probably work in both the left and right handed people.

It's that time of year for practical stocking stuffers for my crews pawdicures :)

I would like everyone's input on brands of nail trimmers that are "sharp" and don't crush the nail

@NinaGato , any brands you love ? Hate?

Anyone try the angled version? Pic attached

Thanks in advance :)

how do you hold your nail trimmers ? Photos attached

(Lol I am left handed and always had turned them upside down)
