Feeding raw, but is there a filler I can add?

Hello,

So I have 2 cats, 1 male,1 female. Both eat BITR. The female wts 8lbs and the male wts 9lbs. Both get 6oz total, 3oz AM and 3oz PM. But both act like they are starving to death. My female is getting a bit chunky, but I cant imagine cutting her food back. Is there a filler I can use just to satiate them that wont add calories? I know ppl use green beans or pumpkin for dogs. Is there something like that I can use for cats?

I don't feed BITR, but I use a pre-mix powder as well. My 6lb girl gets 8 ounces/ day just herself, split into 4 feedings. Maybe try splitting the same amt into more feedings? Or adding more meat?

Another thing to note is that the fat content helps animals (and humans) feel satiated. I use super lean meat, so I add a bit of unsalted butter to hers when I am mixing it up.

i feed BitR and mine get about what yours are getting. I also feed them Treats as well and about once a week, they get turkey / or chicken necks raw to chew on.
Mine always act like they are starving too , thats usually when i give them Treats.

I am sure you can feed them Pumpkin, its good for them.

I would add a third meal. Mine get 6 oz a day, split into 3 meals.

My breeder buys salmon and beef tips, cuts them into small cubs, and then freezes them and gives those for treats. That will give them more meats/other important things that they need, and its a good treat. Try doing that. But like others said, give them more meals throughout the day. Akali used to act like she was starving too, and then I found out that I wasnt feeding her enough. I also gave her smaller meals throughout the day and that made her feel a lot better and she didnt act like she was starving anymore.

Thx guys for all the replies, I tried to split up the 6oz into 3 meals, but the mornings got worse. With only 2 oz in the belly b4 bed they wake up pretty early and begging for food so I went back to 2 x a day. I think I am going to bump up the males to 6.5 or 7oz cause he's bigger and on the thinner side and then see how she does with the pumpkin. Any other thought?? Oh, I did try 2oz AM, 1 oz mid day and 3 oz PM, but that just seemed to make them angry that they weren't getting enough.

My feedings are 7ish, 5ish, and midnight. Only because I work 3-11pm. My daughter feeds before school,after feeding the horses at 5, then when I get home or bedtime when I'm off. The late feeding helped mine a lot.
