Hey,

My vet recently prescribed Felycin-CA1 for Pixie since we found out she has early signs of HCM, it suppose to reduce the heart muscle growth so it doesn’t progress as rapidly and maybe avoid having to get to the point where she’ll have to be on hypertension, hyperlipidemia meds and blood thinners etc... I know this is a fairly new drug on the market, but I wanted to see if any of you guys have started using it and how the kitties have responded to it so far. Thanks everyone!

Update:

Pixie went back for her cardiology follow up after being on felycin-CA1 for 6 months, it’s looking good so far, her heart muscle has stayed at the same size as it was initially, and hasn’t gotten any bigger which is positive. All her lab work looks good too. Just wanted to let you guys know in case anyone was curious about putting their babies on it since it’s relatively new

That is wonderful to hear. Thank you for updating us!
My Otis is on compounded rapamycin. I’m planning on talking to his cardiologist to see if the felycin-CA1 is a better option for him at his next visit. He’s only been on it for a couple months now.
