I'm not sure if anyone keeps a first aid kit for their nakeds, and furred companions, but I came across this link to a page that offers a list of what to put in such a kit. I thought some might find it useful:

Making a First Aid Kit for Your Cat

Myself, I bought a cat first aid kit and then added a bag (one of those foldable, snap closed toiletry bags) of other essentials that were not in the kit.

Cheers!

And... just because...

@Xandria I don't have a particular "kit" in one location, but I have lots of supplies upstairs and downstairs for my pets over the years. Can you please share a list of your items and a pic or two please? This can be helpful. Thanks.

I have a first aid kit for Oz (The horse) which has stuff like Refresh Eyes / Saline solution (Just regular contact lens stuff), Arnica Globuli (D6), Apis Mellifica Globuli (D6) (For insect bites/stings etc that leave lots of bumps from allergy) Chinosol tablets (to clean wounds with), Savlon Antiseptic cream (which is now nearly empty, because I've used it on pretty much every horse here). Cottonballs, cotton roll, tweezers, round scissors, Electrolytes, Germoline (Haemorroid cream, which is great for numbing an itch somewhere and it doesn't irritate.) Hibiscrub, Adhesive tape. Adhesive Bandage/Vetrap. I don't use much gauze, I use diapers lol. Gauze. Various sizes of syringes, Thermometer (*with string attached!).

Stuff like that. Some of this stuff is good for cats, too.

* String, because... It's easy to lose a rectal thermometer in a horse bum! (Trust me. I've been there.)

@Silke that's a thermometer hazard no matter who or what. LOL I'm giggling, but it's not funny as it happens to people too. Knowing that, my rule was always to never let go of a rectal thermometer (pets and kids).

@GoldHazel Here are some pics. Although given the web page I found, I think I'll be adding a bit more to this kit. PLUS, I really need to flesh out the emergency food and water for both Max and Min now. I have a month's worth of water and dehydrated food for Hubby and I, plus more emergency supplies than you can shake a stick at. So I need to do the same for Max and Min.

But here's what I have:

Here's most of the kit itself that I purchased. The feeding bottle I added myself and was not part of the kit, but I felt it important to have.

A list of what's in the kit.

These didn't make it in the above picture as they were tucked further inside one of the several pouches.

This is the kit I put together. Cloths, plastic bags, toothpaste, Max's allergy and tummy meds, some eye drops...

And the below is obvious.

Hugs to all.
