I was puppy sitting today for a friend. He isn't a wild puppy or anything, but he has a lot of energy. Moses kept his distance and sat on the cupboard, but he and Fluffy had to investigate one another. He was afraid of Fluffy and every time she meowed, you'd think someone lit a firecracker, and he'd jump back and get strartled. After about 10 minutes, he warmed up to her. He also ran off with one of her sweaters and wouldn't give it back. He shook that thing and carried it in his mouth almost the entire time he was here. You can see it laying amongst his toys, but it helped him warm up to her.
He was also very intrigued by my pet gerbil, Miles (who I am thinking of re-naming Ghandi, because he looks so old and wise, he must be the oldest gerbil alive now). he sat at the cage and just watched him so intently and politely.
