We'll I thought I would start a thread to see how many other bald baby stories are out there. I can tell you that from day one since we brought fatboy home when he was 8 weeks old. He has ALWAYS stole food from the plate. His main choice would be steak and there were many times when meals we're put on the table and I would turn my back for literally a minute and a steak would be gone from one of the plates. I would usually find him in another room happily enjoying his catch.

There was this one time where I kept hearing the cat door squeaking back and forth ( we have a cat door to the basement) so I walk over to see what was up and there in front of the cat door was a big sausage. I then see mozart's paw coming in and out of the door trying to pull the sausage through the door! I bend down to look through the cat door and the look on his face was " oh oh". Priceless! I'll never forget it seeing his paw trying to pull a sausage through the cat door. Needless to say that the sausage went into the garbage and Mozart got a time out but that never stopped him oh no! From day one he has always been relentless about his food. I had free fed him in the beginning and he put on so much weight he looked like a fat bowling pin with a little head and big ears so I had to cut his meals down and only feed him twice a day. I have never seen a cat that would eat like a dog and finish his entire meal in one seating! He would not only eat his food but then he would hunt down the dog's food and work on that too! Total piggy. And forget about leaving anything on the counter especially bread. He always had this fettish for bread in breadbags and would bite holes in the bag just to take a few nibbles from the bread to only find out that he doesn't like bread. One time he ate all the shortbread cookies on a plate sitting on the counter and another time he ate half a gingerbread house! I'm not kidding! I could not believe it! That's when I knew I had the most unique and irreplaceable cat ever! He sure is special I every way and I can't see my life without my Mozart. He is a one of a kind that is for sure and although we have had some food battles in the past , I would not change him for the world!

I have many of these stories. Archie is a terrible food thief! He bit and stole the meat right out of the back of my arbys roast beef sandwich while i was eating it. Grabs the cheese and steals it away right off my pizza.
I caught him with his head up the a** of a raw turkey once cause i walked away! Dang little hungry monsters! Jinx is sneakier about things, she waits until no one is looking.

Jade is not shy about her thievery. She walks right up to you grabs food off your plate and takes off with it. My 2 year old shoos her away and says "thief! thief!" when she tries stealing his breakfast. She doesn't have a preference of human goodies, it's all good to her! lol

LOL Mozart sounds like Hairy's Twin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From day one, he has been stealing our Food, one time I came home late from work and was so tired so Art made me a Omlette and i sat on the couch with the plate on my lab and there came Hariy leaping over my shoulder, into my plate, taking my omlette and running away, i scream and run after him, my husband runs after him, by the time we caught him, he had eaten at least half ! lol
Another one is , chip bags he waits till we are busy putting one in our mouth and he runs to the chip bag, digs in with his head only and runs away usually with the biggest chip ! He is such a thief !!

Oh the food Morticia steals!!!! Hull-less popcorn is among her favorites, though she does snatch potato chips, chicken, salmon, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, biscuits, turkey, ham, and the dog's beggin strips!!! Elvira is more selective with what she snags, but she isn't above shoving her head into your cereal bowl to lap up milk -leavings!!!!

I like to eat in my bedroom watching TV. Well, one arm goes towards eating, and the other as a shield blocking off both my kittens. I don't feed them human food, or from the plate so they don't get in a habit, although I don't think that will stop them from begging, but when I eat chicken I save them some and feed it them after I eat. They look like they won the lotto when they have a mouth full of chicken.

Sorry to laugh but mozart sounds quite a character, no food stealers at our house but Blue is a plate watcher, given half a chance maybe he'd try his luck but up to now hes not done haha xxx

We had to fight Nigel to begin with. He would try and put his face in our plates just to smell the food. He wouldn't take bites only lick it! So after a week of always putting him in the floor he has learned to sit on the floor and beg with the dogs! They usually get bites of pet safe food when we are done eating. So it is it's own reward to wait. He was smart enough to figure out he wasn't getting anything if he kept begging.

When it comes time for his own meals however he is completely different! Lol he is biting my chin right now cause I am sitting in bed writing this and not feeding him. He also sits next to the fridge and yowls when it is food time. Or when he thinks it is food time.

Luna and Lola steal food! Binx just walks all through your dinner- not because he really wants it but because it looks exciting! Dinner time is interesting with 4 nakeds awaiting their treats . My eldest son has gone on a trip with the school. Molly my furry decided to try her luck and sit at his place at the table :)

My sweet Gargoyle will get into zucchini noodles, yogurt, lime-flavored dorrito chips, and all of the meats. Half the battle when I eat dinner is swatting this little asshole away.

My girl Foxy licked the peanutbutter of my bread yesterday. Before she stole the cheese of my bread, run away with a pizza slices, eat the couscous out of my salad. And just makes it impossible for me to eat peacefully cause she needs to try everything. She' my personal dietist to help me lose weight:)

My pair are savages. Mr. Shazam thinks he's sneaky, but he is absolutely not. He has a bit more respect now that he's gotten older, but I was told one time that he jumped onto the bed where my mom was eating, stole a piece of meat, and sprinted around the house with it for like 20 minutes. ANother time, he and my beautiful angel Ziva got a taco bell taco out of the bag on the counter, took it to the floor, dragged it across the room, got the wrapper off, opened the taco, and ate all the meat out of it before they got caught.
Now, my baby girl Rora, she has no respect, no chill and absolutely thinks all the food in the house is hers. She tries to eat food out of my mouth, tries to steal off my plate if I turn my head, and god forbid I turn away from cooking food, She'll try to eat it out of the damn pot.
And Cheese, oh my lord that cat loves cheese. No matter where she is in the apartment, if I open the fridge and dare rustle the cheese bags, she at my side SCREAMING. She attacks me, jumping up on my legs, and has tried to swipe cheese sticks out of my hand to the floor.
They have no respect when it comes to fool lol, whats mine is theirs apparently, and it doesn't matter if they like bread, or fruit, or whatever it is i'm eating, they have to HAVE IT. I never thought i'd see such fervor for plain white rice
Love them to death though. They are just amazing creatures who are such a treat to watch.
