A study showed that children under a year old that were exposed to a cat in their home were less likely to develop allergies later on. They say exposure to cats early in life appears to help protect against not only pet allergies but other types of common allergies like dust mites, ragweed, and grass. So although it is not guaranteed to stop allergies for all, there is definitely a benefit to having a cat when you have a baby. Thank you member @Nefertari for letting me use your girl Maisy and her buddies as the models for this week’s fact.
Happy Friday Lairians!
