I almost can't believe what I am about to write here.

It's with deepest sadness that I have to tell you all that my beloved baby boy Mo passed away this afternoon at the vet surgery following a battle with lymphoma.

I mentioned in a previous thread just a few days ago that he wasn't well. I knew the time was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier.

My heart is breaking. He was more than a friend, he was there for me at all the tough times and good times in my life. He was there for me when I first qualified as a nurse. He was there for me through a difficult and lonely pregnancy 5 years ago. He has been a loving family cat for me, my daughter and a good friend to my fluffy cat Lola who will miss him so much. Life will not be the same without him to share it with.

Coming home is the saddest thing, his bed is empty, his favourite sweater on the side washed ready for him. His water bowl and food dish...... I keep wandering where he is.

My boy, I miss you so much already. Rest in peace no longer in pain XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxXXX

Oh I am so sorry. I recall you asking for positive thoughts to be sent, but even when you try to prepare yourself, you never really can. Please know we are here for you and keep the best memories closest to your heart. RIP sweet Mo.

Thank you all so much for your support. I knew I could find comfort here. I'm distraught. I can't relax, there is a huge gap in my heart where he has been taken. I feel almost lost without him. All I want to do is bring him home and cuddle him, it feels so wrong to be without him in the house. I know it will just take time to get used to things but for now its so raw. The house is so quiet and my side kick is nowhere to be seen. its just so strange. love to all xxx

@Sam lewis, I know exactly how you feel. Since Yoda passed, our home seems so quite. It's just not the same without her. They steal your heart and when they are gone, there's a big nothingness. Your other babies are grieving too. Please keep a watch on them and give them extra snuggles and lovins. They are hurting too. I don't believe you ever get over the loss, you just learn to handle it better. Just know you gave Mo a wonderful life, filled with love. He will live forever in your heart and memories. He left his paw print on your heart. I know there's no words to make you feel better, I wish there was. Just know we are all here for you.

I hate so bad to see these post and I don't even want to read them.
My heart aches for you. It just wouldn't be right for me not to read
and respond, because, it's harder for the one who has lost their
Loving precious baby, than me. But, my heart always hurts for anyone
in this situation. How would I feel if no one responded to me.
I like to show my support and let you know I will lift you up in prayer.
You need comfort and peace. Bless you.

I am waiting for Mo's ashes to come back which should be some time next week in a little oak box, I think when I get them it may help a bit as I am at least bringing him home (not in the way I wish I could) I know that probably sounds silly. This is so hard.

That doesn't sound silly at all. With Mo's ashes in a oak box at home you'll have a place to turn when your sad. It's important that he's home. And he wil be in your heart forever

This is how I remember Mo when he was in his prime, maybe around 3 or 4 years old in this picture. He was happy, healthy, beautiful! We were living in a newly built two bed apartment in the middle of the city with views all round, he was certainly living the high life here! We really did have a great life together, I can't believe he's gone. x

Sam, I am sick to my stomach reading this. I know how much Mo meant to you...
I remember when you felt as though he was almost all you had. Then what a happy little family you had with your daughter, Rosie (right?) Lola, and your darling Mo. I know how it ripped your heart out to lose him. But he accomplished so much for a little cat. I think God must have sent him to you to help you make it. He was a beautiful boy who brought so much love and companionship to your life. I didn't ever get a chance to meet Mo, but I loved him for loving you with all his little heart. I hope he's telling the angels what a wonderful family he had and that he's asking them to send you another kitty to take up where he left off. Because love like the two of you shared is just too good to waste. And I believe with all my heart that you will see him again...when it's your turn to go home. Until then, he'll be in your heart. He knew he was loved.
And love is everything.
Always,
Susi

Such a precious and handsome boy, your Mo. He had the best life possible with you. He knew he was loved and needed. It's a beautiful moment you captured in the photo!

@susi794 you are so right about everything you said. You have the tears flowing once again!!! (it doesn't take much at the moment!) Mo was/Is still so important to me. For a very long time a big part of my life has been all about Mo, and I'm now learning to let go of that feeling. But my stomach is still in knots, I'm still looking for him all the time. I miss his comfort so much and didn't realise quite how much I relied on him! Even those last few weeks where he really needed me to care for him, I was always getting something back, his love. I would give anything to see him again. I just hope I did everything I could for that little boy whilst he was still here.

I am very sorry to read of your dear Mo. The pain in your posts bring tears to my eyes as that is what my 4 legged creators are to me too. We tell Moses he is wearing high heels the way his nails click on the floor and it's music to my ears and I always get worried when I DONT hear it, so I can only imagine your pain right now. Thoughts are with you today.
