Thank you everyone for the kind words and beautiful sentiments.
To say I miss him is an understatement. Every day I look at his urn and think about all the beautiful memories I have of him. I don't think that will ever change. I'm glad there are so many beautiful thoughts and times we shared that I can reflect on now.
Today was the first day I was able to watch some of the videos I had taken of him. His charming little meow and quirky tail flicks made me smile through my tears. I'm grateful to have some small reminders of him.
I have thousands of pictures, thankfully, as a budding photographer when I first got him, I made it a point to document everything. I never stopped throughout his life. He was my favorite subject. I am grateful to have so much to look back on... Even though it still seems far too short.
I look forward to reading about all your babies stories on here in the future... hold them extra close for me. Time passes far to quickly.
I have tried three times now to write something, but I break down every time. The way that you told the story speaks volumes about your bond with Iggy, a bond that will exist forever. I am most struck by your strength and ability to still enjoy your Iggy through your tears and loneliness while it can be so easy to get lost in grief. I wish there were words to express how sorry I am.
Oh my... What a story.. Couldn't keep it dry aswell. Trough your words I can feel the love you had and still have for him. Forever in your heart.. I wish you all the strenght and love!
Sorry to read that you lost your baby. Reading some of these stories does help to see that others understand the bond we get with our furless babies. I know even as I hit the one year mark of losing my girl...this still made me cry for both of them.
