You guys are so supportive!!! He is at the vet now. They are neutering him, cleaning his ears (while he is under), doing a fecal test, running bloodwork, and doing a leukemia test. As far as I can tell his vacs are all current right now. He is 11 mos old. I felt awful leaving him this a.m. They said I can call after noon to check on him and pick him up at 4pm... I worked last night so I left the electric blanket on on my bed (old/cold house) and yep he was in there when I got home!

I called for an update and the vet is at lunch. They said the surgery went well. The leukemia test and the heartworm test were both negative. Thank goodness. Still don't know about the other things yet..

Ok, he is home! Surgery went great and he is super active right now. He did eat some too. I took the food away because he was trying to chow down! Neg heartworm, neg leukemia, good bloodwork, clear lungs, and no heart abnormalities noted on auscultation. I know he still needs to be scanned... Today went great! Just hoping nothing respiratory shows up in the next 2 weeks.

Congrats on your new baby!!! Hopefully everything will be just fine with him. When i brought home my second boy he was very ill. It was several months before he was in good health and of course my first boy got sick too. It was awful but in the end worth it. My boys love each other and my house wouldn't be the same without them. Good luck and keep us posted!!!
