So I've been speaking with my lovely breeder and we've arranged a date for me to go pick up little Dexter. I'm so excited and I just can't wait to bring him home.

Monday can't come soon enough!

He's had his injections and the vet said he's very healthy and happy. Hes also the heaviest out the litter just like our Toby was when we got him. (Toby is our pug btw)
We've got everything ready for him now too. I even crocheted a little blanket for him to snuggle under. (even though hes already got two here and will be leaving with one as well).

The only thing I'm worried about his how he'll get on with Toby. Toby is really laid back and doesn't get bothered about change. He also grew up with a cat.
He's really friendly and gentle but sometimes get over excited around other animals. (except with the tortoise as he's scared of him aha)

If anyone's got any tips on introducing a new kitten to a dog that would be great. I want them both to be happy.

Thanks x

How exciting. You will be running on fumes, by the time Monday gets here.
Everyday you'll get even more excited. Probably won't sleep the night
before. Yes, that's the parenthood of a Sphynx. But, just wait until you
get your baby home. There isn't any love like a sphynx love.

Oh! Gotcha day! How exciting. My best advice is do some Internet research and come up with a plan for meeting. When I used to bring home a new animal I used to leave them in their carrier and let all the other animals cone up and sniff the cage. I would usually cover the opening with a towel so no one would get too much eye contact cuz that can be stressful.

I know! It all happened so fast when we got tobe, he was ready to leave the day we went to visit and brought him home that day.

Just need a bit more patience with Dex haha already been waiting a few weeks but now I know the date its making it all that more exciting!

Thanks @NinaGato
I'm going to leave him in his carrier for a little while for toby to have a sniff. Then I was thinking about putting tobe behind the baby gate when I first let Dexter out.
I don't want either of them to get stressed

What I have done in the past, and even with Navi (we're waiting for our gotcha date too so I understand), is I took a clean hoodie over to visit, I let her lay in my hoodie, then snuggled her nice and close to me on my chest, and my shirt, letting her get a good smell of Salem (as his scent is on me). When I came home I took the clothes off and let Salem smell them and rubbed them against his fur to give him HER smell. She has stuff that smells like us and Salem.

Our plan is to bring her home, and calm her down in the bedroom first. It smells heavily of Salem in here, because we gave her things for at the breeders we can lay those where Salem will be so he can smell his new sister. Slowly we'll introduce, with Navi in the cat carrier at first to stop any claws, and then slowly move from there. Treats and positive reinforcement and of course making sure that the current cat doesn't feel less loved is necessary. We plan on making sure Salem feels extra loved with lots of snuggles and delicious food, and love. To make him comfortable and realize he's not going to be replaced. Same goes with Navi, we need to spoil her to make her realize that this place isn't terrible, we aren't going to harm her. The key is slow and steady. It doesn't have to happen over night, and depending on the cats it might.

Also, its ALMOST Monday! 4 days for you! So excited!

Well gotcha day went quite well. Dexter slept in my arms all the way home.

He doesn't quite know what to think about Toby yet. We had a few little hisses at first but he just mostly avoids tobe for now. Although when he was asleep Dexter got brave and walked on poor sleeping tobe.
