Okay sorry everyone for totally slacking. I was so busy preparing for the little guy to come home, and once he did he has kept me busy busy busy!
Gotcha day was on Saturday. The bf and I woke up around 7, got a coffee and a bagel and drove about an hour away to pick him up at 9. We let him play in the car for a few minutes before putting him back in his travel case to drive. He wasn't having the travel case so I finally let him out and wrapped him in a blanket. Luckily, he fell asleep after about 15 minutes of trying to get out of my arms. He def isn't okay with the dogs yet but is slowly getting better. Poor little guy was stressed and wouldn't potty for a whole day. Now he is going regularly in his box :) He loves his cat tree and loves to tell me when its time for him to eat. He has quite a lot more energy today and yesterday then he did the day we got him LOL! If he can't find me he starts calling for me. It's pretty adorable.
The first night he slept for about 5-6 hours straight. It was amazing. Last night he was up every single hour running on my head, my nightstand, attacking my feet. AHHH. I am a little stressed. I know there have been some threads about this but haven't really found anyone give a specific solution that worked for them. So if anyone has one I would love to hear it! I played hard with him for about an hour before bed and gave him a meal before we slept which I have heard helps! He has a TON of energy!!!
I attached some photos for you all!!

Omg he is soooo cute. Jealous! I hate to say it but the only thing other than play than meal than bed is that you have to absolutely ignor him when you are in bed. Not petting no talking to him, try not to move too much as that will invite the foot attacks, and absolutely Never Ever get out of bed to feed him. He will learn that he isn't getting anything out of play in bed or late night meowing and stop. It will suck for the first little while, but it is crucial that there is no engagement in bed at least for the first six months, otherwise you will have a noisy cat that wakes you up every morning or night. I thought I did pretty good with Frida but I find that she is so used to me getting up early that she won't ever let me sleep in. I think looking back I should have varied the morning feeding time more.

What a cutie! I more than understand the time flying by when you first get your baby. We have a 8mo old male Fuzzy Van Wrinkle and I know all to well about the energy. I would suggest playing with him hard about 30 min before you want to go to sleep this will wear him out and hopefully get you through the night. After a few weeks Fuzzy was sleeping thrrough the night and now comes to bed around 10 and I leave him and Hairry in bed in the mornings when I get up for work. Enjoy your new baby!!!

Congrats - what a cutie! You may not want to hear this...but, leave him out of the bedroom! We chose to do so years ago, and never looked back. Between their heat and Athena and Leo tussling under the blankets, it was rough to bear, We now can get a good nights sleep. (if we could just keep Louie seen below out of the bed... :p)

Honestly...I am debating it. I know that he's a baby and I don't mind him waking up and what not but EVERY SINGLE HOUR is way too much right now lol. I have work and school and can't run on no sleep. I think I will try leaving him in the living room tonight...

Congrats on mr too cute! Love his nose and little smiley grin face!

Toby took about an hour of play time before bed with Da bird toy- I set up a bench window seat in he bedroom. I put a snoozzy hide n seek bed from pet supermarket on the window bench. It is four paws up from all 4 of our nekkeds.
We play and when it is bedtime I put two dry treats in his bench snoozzy bed. He got into a routine anf A&H! We can sleep!
Claire Bare is 3 and tears across the bed bringing me hairbands to fetch- we play fetch for 15 minutes while we watch the news at 11 pm- then I lift the blanket where I want her to go settle down. She gets right under and snoozes. If she tries my legs I gently move her off and over. So,eti, enduring the night Toby sneak sender the covers on the "kitty side" of th king bed! We are introducing our newest 2 and all is going well- they will get the routine.

Ya got a cutie there and he has a whole new world to explore! Fun fun! He will settle in the routine you teach him.
Give him kisses from us !Congrats!

He's a handsome little gentleman. Congrats. Izmae is 7 and she still has wild nights. where she doesn't want to sleep.
It's not to often, but, she is full of energy and can't get chilled out. She is bouncing on my head, chest, legs, face, ears,
and wants to play. But, she never tears anything up or breaks stuff. She never has. She will just wear her energy off.

Tierd him out a hour before bed. Trust me he'll sleep all night then. That's what my baby did. She sleeps the whole night until it's time for me to wake up for work. Good luck to you

okay so the first night we slept in my room and he jumped on my face about every hour. the second night i slept on the couch and let him stay in my room since he was more comfy and that was great. third night he decided he didn't like my room anymore so i let him out because he started howling and tried to get under the door and made himself bleed!!! i slept on the couch for a few nights with him after that because he would use the top of my bed as a diving board onto my face so the couch was a safer bet. He still woke me up at least 20 times. So last night i played really hard with him for about 2 hours and made sure he had a full tummy and i went to bed in my room and closed the door and put a towel under the door so he couldn't try to get under and hurt himself. I stayed quiet for a while and didn't hear any crying. I woke up this morning and he was sleeping at the top of his cat tree in the living room, happy as a clam and ready to eat. I left the dog in the crate out there for now (even though he usually sleeps with me), to give Munnkie some company. Attempting night two of sleeping in my room alone. I feel sad and want him to sleep in my room with me but after a whole week of no sleep combined with work and school I was reaching my limit. :( Maybe once he is a little older and settles down and is more in a routine he can sleep with me!! I really hope so and I hope it isn't mean to leave him out there! :(

He's way too cute! How's the sleeping going now?
