I'm cold these past two nights he used to sleep with me like I was holding a stuffed animal.

My Babas sleeps with me the same way. Until you get Kia to park her butt there, grab a small pillow. I do that when I sleep in hotels, or I just cannot sleep well.

Thank you all for your kind words. They mean a lot. We have all been in a funk since Tuesday. I think I miss the little things the most , like his voice, the way he pawed at the covers to get in bed with me, the most aggressive headbutts. How his whiskers always tickled my face while we were snuggled up.

I get choked up reading about him...he and Babas are SO alike...right down to the pawing to get under the covers...lol. But no whiskers on Babas ...Canada vs Russia thing...lol. Just know we are all here for you...don't disappear due to the funk.

Because, Girlfriend, you surely have given him every other possible gift. Loki was a cool guy--and you surely know that it is because of the love you shared with him. You gave him a home, a family, and helped him trust again. He knew he was loved and he was a happy boy. I am also glad I had the chance to meet him because I thought he was a very sweet boy. I believe that he has severed the ties to that old, tired body and takes with him only his precious memories of the family that gave him everything. No more pain, no more suffering. He chose when it was time for his journey with you to be over and you allowed him to slip peacefully from this life to the next. I believe he will wait for you until you sever your ties to this Earth and will be there to welcome you home. I know that you will not let the kind of love you shared with Loki go to waste and I know that you will honor the memories you shared.
