HCM took Swindle, my heart is broken

I can't believe it. He is gone since yesterday. It is the worst feeling of devastation I have ever felt. I had such a special bond with him. My husband did too. We are just udderly heartbroken to the point of emotional & physical exhaustion. I felt the life in myself die when the vet told me. It's as if everything around me fell apart and crumbled. I can't believe he is gone. Life without him will be a difficult adjustment. His sister Fiona is doing good so far, but its only been a day. I am thinking another Sphynx would help her. We are open to adoption if anyone around the NJ area knows of a Sphynx looking for a home. We have a black one year old shorthair cat, and Fiona our Sphynx. One elderly Italian greyhound. We had our other dog, a retired greyhound die 2 weeks ago as well to bone cancer. It's just to much to handle 2 losses like this so close together.

I am so very sorry for your loss. The depth of Sphynx love can only be understood by others who share their lives with these precious nakeds. And your bond, as you say, is very deep. My heart is breaking for you. I totally understand how you are feeling. I lost my sweet Yoda recently. We all miss her so much. The house just isn't the same without her. I still cry every day . Cherish the memories you have of her. She will always be in your heart and memories. I know there's really nothing anyone can say to ease your grief but we are all here for you and we understand. When you sad, think of something silly she did. Please keep an eye on the others. Pinky got severely depressed and quit eating and was at the vets for 4 days. They grieve just like us. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Jenn, it's good to hear from you. Been awhile.
But, my heart is so sad this is the reason. Your loss.
I know it's just like looking a part of you. I lost a pet before
and I thought, I died too. A part of me did, that day. That place
in my heart is still her' s and that's been since 2003.

I never intended to get another pet. I didn't never want to go through that
hurt again. Then, I learned about the Sphynx.
I got Izmae in 2007.

But, if something should ever happen to her, I don't know, if, I can
make it through. But, with the comfort and strength I get from
the Lord each day and time, I'll make it.
I sure will lift you up in prayer. Again, I'm so sorry.

Thank you everyone! It has been devastating and really don't think I will ever be able to get over him. He was just everything to me. I called him the baby of the family.
We will always carry him in our hearts. We decided to wait a year to get another. We don't want to rush into it. Thank you ALL so much for the kind words. They are greatly appreciated.
