Hey guys I haven't posted much lately but need some prayers. Starla & Bentley learned how to open the pantry a couple weeks ago so they're always in it now. SMH. Last weekend they got into a cheap bag of catfood that was in there that I use to feed strays. They ate the whole bag! Starla has a sensitive tummy so she had poop soup for a couple days. She had a little dab of blood on her tush on Wednesday but I didn't think much of it because of the whole situation with the diarrhea & poop had gone back to normal. Well last night when she jumped into bed she had a line of blood & some mucus on her tush. Ugh. I'm so nervous I almost went to ER vet but she's acting normal. I looked online & from what I'm reading it sounds like it might be an anal gland infection but I don't know. I'm so nervous. She's my baby. I know we all have these moments & you all know how I feel. Just please send some prayers & positive thoughts up for us. Thanks. Love you guys.

Lair Prayers sent. Those little stinkers eating a whole bag! Hopefully it will be an easy anal gland fix for you. Please let us know the outcome. It really is a great sign she is acting normal :)

Anyone hear how Starla is doing? And how is Bentley? These cats are great at doing what they aren't supposed to do. That's why we now have childproof locks on our cupboards...

I shot her a message on FB asking how things were going and that I was sure many others on The Lair would be wondering. I will be positive and believe in the old adage no news is good news!

Hey guys. Starla is ok. Vet says its probably due to eating the junk food & having diarrhea & her colon being irritated. shes on meds for a week an anti inflammatory & an antibiotic. we'll see how it goes. Thanks for all the love

Oh Sarah I am so happy to read this. Your little "innocent" girl certainly knows how to give you a scare. Made me smile seeing pic of Bentley escorting her to the vet.

Whew! Hope that's all it is and it clears up way before her meds are finished! :)

Sorry the little diva gave you such a huge scare! Hopefully the meds kick in and it’s just a case of brief IBS that resolves quickly. We’re dealing with explosive diarrhea from our min pin right now so I totally empathize! It’s no fun for anyone.

What a little stinker- literally and figuratively!

Hope the medicines kick in and she starts to feel better soon!

They are crazy. I gotta babyproof my house. I can't even keep garbage baskets around anymore & I have to close doors before I leave the house. LOL. I love them but they are little stinkers. I have to figure out a solution to the pantry issue because they climb & I'm afraid they'll knock a canned item onto the other one! :(

i know how you feel . Maybe you can put a lock or a latch on the door of the pantry ?

I went thru 5 garbage cans before my Husband finally build one that is Sphynx proof so far.
