I tried them... wasn't very pleased. They didn't stay very warm and Giz was not thrilled laying on a hard disc (even if it was covered by blankets)..

I liked these better, but kind of a pain to warm up. They are filled with a gel / wax material and you have to keep moving it around and massaging it in between heating times in the microwave.

Not sure is the "perfect" sphynx warmer is out there... still looking.

I use the disc and my kitties love it. I also use it when traveling and it works well for us.

Thanks for posting pictures and your reviews. I've been wondering about these products.

We use the disc aka Snungle Safe at work. I put one under a towel or blanket for Niles when he insists on sitting in the uninsulated window and he loves it. We used to warm one each night for our elderly clinic kitty who loved to snuggle down. She liked it.

Sometimes as they age you have to warm them a bit longer

I use a snuggle safe microwavable heat pad too! It is a bit hard and dosent seem all that comfortable but Loki likes to sprawl over it so it cant be too bad! Its really good for travelling, coz in Scotland I'm always worried he'll freeze outside!

We have one heated pet bed and one heated pet pad (both by K&H) which stay on indefinately. The boys also have two human electric blankets and one human electric throw that each stay on for 10 hours at a time. I'm going to invest in a couple of K&H Thermo snuggly plush sleeper pet beds in size med. for them. Should fit both boys together very comfortably. So far the best price I have found them for is $73.71 each. I do like K&H products over all others and feel very safe with them.

I bought jazelle a twin size heated blanket. I have had this one for two years and will have to get a new one soon cause it's going out in places. What is nice is it has a 10 hour timer. Awesome for keeping her warm threw the winter night.

I fold up blanket and place on top of rug, then cover and fold under with fleece blanket or a twin sheet. Then I took a laundry basket and cut a hole in the side so she can slide threw and flip it upside down and cover it with another fleece leaving the extra under basket for small blanket for her. I use the LOW setting ONLY and it is perfect. Not too hot, not too cold..

I get those cheap fleece blankets at the drug store, they are like 7 buck, soft and wash up great.

I have used lots of things and this is what works the best!

thank you all for this thread, I just got my sphynx baby (doesn't even have a name yet) and she shivers I know she's cold, but as a kitten I don't think she can find the right spot in the house yet. I just bought Heated therom kitty mat, and snuggle heater thing. Hope it get here soon, until then i'm heating up a heat pad in the microwave, but she doesn't really care to be on it. Guess I'm just a nervous new mom.

I've heard good things about the Sleepypod Warmer. It comes in two sizes (one for travel carrier, one for the larger carrier and subsequent bed), and is low wattage but good for heat (around 102°F (39°C) according to their site).

I haven't tried one yet, but I am considering getting their "Crater Dot" at some point and investing in the warmer as well so Iggy has a place to go when he gets cold.

Sleepypod Crater Dot (pet bed specifically designed for the warmer)
