Hi Guys,

I have just bought my first ever sphynx kitten - and searching online I stumbled on this site and thought I would join up

I currently have a little Birman girl, so from a majorly long-haird kitty to an almost hairless one is going to be quite a change - and boy will they look the odd couple

Years ago when I lived overseas a friend had sphynxes and I was enamoured with the breed, and have finally made the first step to getting my own.

She is due for pick up in 2 weeks, but I will get her in four, as I am off to Mexico on a little trip, and will get her upon my return. Looking so forwared to having a new kitty - and for the two of them to get along very well (after a formal introduction process of course).

Little girls name is going to be Ksenia.

Indeed, I am excited at the thought of finally owning my own little nude-kitty!

I went for a visit today and to get cuddles. She was all about the place and *rudely* refused to pose for photos! Instead she liked to run about!

I managed to get a half decent one on my phone. Will try to attach if I can. Will also try to put a picture of her snuggy (i.e. my other cat) too.

Looking forward to getting to know you all. Thanks for the wishes for holiday too... Mexico will definitely be awesome. Also spending a few days in Vegas - so let's hope I win big and can come home and buy a couple more (non)furries

Arrived back from Mexico yesterday and couldn't wait to bring home my new baby.... A fantastic way to top off an amazing trip. Vegas didn't wipe me out - so I had money for cat-food too!

Well I picked her up today and she has settled right in. I had prepared a separate room for her and was ready for a long and arduous task of introduction to my existing kitty. I placed the cat-carrier on the floor in the lounge room and both cats just became instant friends. With Narnia (existing furry) this is unheard of!

Ksenia Greta (sphynx, aka "Ksenia") was right at home (after a very vocal 35 minute drive from the breeders!) and spent some 5 hours or so purring whilst sleeping on my chest, not allowing me to move! My friend took a couple of snaps to which they said it looks as though we are old friends! With my jet-lag I didn't mind at all

Welcome! Did you have a nice trip? I traveled through Australia some 10 years back, loved it there Living there adds the bonus that your sphynx won't get cold so easily That picture of her sleeping next to your face is real cute!
