Hello Sphynxlair,
My wife and I are living down in Grand Cayman. Our boys have grown and moved out (our oldest actually took our original Sphynx, Cleo, and later added Remi). Leaving the house too quiet, we added Charlie to our lives. Now, we've joined to connect with the community and hopefully find a Sphynx companion for him!
Charlie’s Rescue Story
Charlie had a tough start. He was born to a backyard breeder in Nevada who tried to treat a severe eye infection herself, making it much worse. Because we were already in the Caymans, family stateside had to step in for an emergency vet run. His eye was in bad shape and required round-the-clock meds. Eventually, my wife and I both flew to pick him up and drive him to a Las Vegas ophthalmologist.
Unfortunately, despite all the medical intervention, we ultimately did have to have his eye removed once we were back here on the island.
The good news is that it hasn't slowed him down one bit. He adapted perfectly and is now happily living his best island life! You can see his recovery and daily tropical adventures on Instagram at @CharlieCatlin_IslandCat
We’re excited to be here and would appreciate any advice or leads on finding Charlie a new friend to bring a little more chaos back to the house.
Thanks for having us!
