Hello everyone!
Me and my partner are new sphynx owners since early November last year. Our little rascal is called Lucifer and he has already stolen our hearts after being with us for just a few months.
The sphynx breed first caught our attention last year when we were walking a dog that was staying with us for two weeks while his owners were on holiday. We came across a black beauty that scared the dog (it already had cat issues) and we thought to ourselves, wow they are so gracious when you see them in real life. We had not been able to get a cat because of my mild allergy and so arranged a visit with the owners of the sphynx we had seen (a neighbour of my parents) to figure out whether I would have any reaction from them. I hardly noticed they had five cats!
After reading more about them, we became even more enthusiastic and started looking for a breeder. From that point everything went very fast (except for the weeks we had to wait before we could pick him up...).
Now that Lucifer has been with us for a while, we realise that we would never want another breed even if I didn't have an allergy! We absolutely adore him and we would never have thought any pet could have given us so much love.
I look forward to reading all about everyone's experiences and their funny stories.
Kind regards,
Liesbeth van Arkel from Arnhem in the Netherlands
(and a paw from Lucifer)
