I am new to the forums and am so glad I found this place! I currently have one little Yorkie girl named Shadow who will be 13 at the end of the month. I lost her "sister" a little over a year and a month ago named Sunshine. I've never owned a cat but had the wonderful opportunity some years ago to be present at the birth of kittens when I lived with my mother-in-law. I got to have one for a while before she was given away 
. But that's a story for another time.
Long story short, I have researched Sphynx cats for about 4 years now and will be getting together the money for a deposit soon. After spending the better part of a day with the breeder I'll be purchasing from with Sphynx of all ages, from newborns to older ages cats I decided I would really like to own one. I was a bit nervous as I have not had much experience with cats in any way, but found them to be so affectionate and friendly. I wanted to wait to get a kitten once I complete my Bachelor's degree in December so I will have the time to devote to a new baby. I am in particular looking to purchase a black female if at all possible.
Sorry for such a long post! I'm glad to have found this place and plan to spend lots of time reading up on all of the advice that I can. And if anyone has any pictures of a black Sphynx I would love to see some. Most of the ones I have seen were more of a light gray color, not black. Looking forward to meeting and conversing with you all!
