It’s not the usual dingleberry that she gets here and there. It’s like smeared on her bum area. She got a little bit of it on our throw blanket. It’s not an every day thing but should I reduce her wet food intake and add in more of her dry food?

I actually wipe my boy’s booty every time I notice he’s had a poop. Otherwise there’s always some crusty there. I’ve heard people say they put some coconut oil there to soften and then wipe it away.

hugs.. fortunate with my 4 I don't have to booty wipe. I noticed in the beginning when I fed Acana dry they had dirty bums. no more. I personally would not reduce wet food, its good to feed wet. sometimes just finding the right combination. what food do you feed?

I used what the breeder recommended. Blue wilderness kitten food . What do you feed yours?

You have to wipe their bums every time they poo every day. It’s part of owning them. We use fragrance free Huggies baby wipes.

Yeah I purchased the same wipes . I figured it was just apart of owning them. I just wasn’t sure if it was something I was doing thank you for your response.

I only wipe Rankle's bum if it's wet and dirty. He screams the house down and acts like I'm trying to kill him every time I do it which isn't good for our relationship (I still bear scars from previous attempts). Neither of us find it pleasant so it's reserved for those really "special" occasions. :0

When my dog, yes, dog, don't have my kitty yet, was alive, I made it a habit to wipe his bum! He would even go directly into the bathroom after relieving himself outside so he could be cleaned! Lol I plan on getting my kitten used to having her bum cleaned too so she's used to it.

Yes, agreed. I also clean their paws with baby wipe. My two are still young kittens - 4 and 5 months. Bentley (4 mo old female) has not mastered pooping w/o getting it on her leg, paw or tail. She also always has poo booty. Jackson is better, but still necessary to clean paws as they dig to find a spot and then cover. Some of the brown on the wipe is likely oil, but..... still don't want feces residue all over the house.

I find if I can catch my baby after the litter box I'll wipe her bottom with organic coconut oil. You said it doesn't happen often, so I would take note when it does happen. Have you changed her food and/or treats? That could cause loose stool. I find this breed to have more sensitivity to food than most cats. Poop booty is part of owning a sphynx!

With dry food I don't have this issue but get it sometimes with wet food. The output hole is usually covered with the tail and I think (this is kinda nasty) I've seen mine self cleaning the output hole just like they clean their paws.

For persistent smelly brown butt we use a warm water with 100% cotton Swisspers pad and hold it there with some Vaseline then repeat works a miracle.

I have found since our girl is on medication for her IBD and special food we haven’t had to use baby wipes as much probably 80% less which is a miracle.
