Hello… I was just looking for some advice. My daughter has just rescued a ‘sphynx cross’ as she was told by the previous owner. She is only 10 weeks old. I am unsure if any of her parents were true Sphynx or is she was just born hairless to two parents who had hair.

The lady who owned her did not have experience with the breed and an had not washed her since she had had her which is nearly 3 weeks. Her skin is very dry to touch and she is covered in tiny black spots that are flush to the skin. None are crust or raised or flaky. But it covers her entire body but not on the pink parts of her skin only the darker areas.

I just wondered if anyone else had came across anything like this before with their Sphynx as I am unable to decide what I think it may be. I do own 4 Sphynx myself and never came across skin that is like this poor babies. I have other animals in the home and was worried it may be ringworm but upon looking at pictures online i don’t think it is and I haven’t seen her itching since we have had her home. I am a bit worried to let her around the other animals as of yet but wanted some others opinions.

My daughter is going to call our vet on Monday morning to take her up to get her checked over and see what they say but they are not open until Monday now so will have to wait.

Please if anyone has any ideas or advice in the meantime time please reach out with some support :)

I have tried to add a picture several times up it says the file is too big no matter what picture I try to use :(

Thank you
