Vincent Valentino has arrived on the scene! He’s cautiously moving about. My resident cat hissed at him through the crack in the door that was ajar. Ill keep them separate for several days. I don’t think he has stopped purring since I picked him up!

@Jellybean , Happy adorable Vincent Valentino Gotcha Day!!! he is darling!!!! love to see pics of your resident kitty bestie to be . good job mum keeping separated till wellness check. I did same and then did sloow intros. I used a baby gate for sniffs and throwing treats on both sides. watch the climbing held in place with my foot. then did cross scented handtowels toys by their food dishes. rotated free roaming and swapping resident kitties into newbies room. then on their comfort level free roaming supervised armed with two dabird pole toys.

also on wellness check, can bring a stool sample to check. I also ask vet to take good listen to heart for any murmurs. note my boy had a stress "ghost " murmur that went away on next visit.

* also have Vincent's and your resident kitties chart marked NO Ketamine anesthesia *it can have a rebound effect on heart.

. for spay/neuters , surgeries my vet uses Isoflurane gas inhalant instead easier on them.
