Hello everyone, my name is Grace, and I'm new here, not really familiar with how to use this site, as I was redirected here to introduce myself here. I introduced myself where I guess I shouldn't have. :Woo:

I have a male Sphynx, he is an immigrant from Russia. His name is Titus (pronounced Tee-toos), which in Russian means "Fire". I named him this because if he had hair on him, he would be "red". I feel like he has been a member of my family for a long time, but he has only been in my home since April 2, 2012, and turned 1 year old on April 14. We are still learning about each other, and he is learning English. I've always wanted a Sphynx, and I'm so glad I have him.

I did have some problems with him after he first got here, first it was an URI from the plane rides from Moscow to New York, then to Miami, all in the same day. Then loose stools, then blood in his stools. Through the process of elimination, I discovered the loose stools were from the water, so I changed him from tap water to bottled water. Problem solved. I do have to be careful to keep the toilet seat down, because he likes drinking from the toilet, and is totally FASCINATED by me flushing it, LOL.:Surprise: Blood in his stool was a little more to figure out, but it turned out to be the antibiotics.

Finally, after a couple of months, all is well. My other cat and my dog get along well with Titus. I'm hoping soon that he will cuddle with Lucy (my other cat), but for right now, he cuddles with me, which is just dandy!

Welcome to the Lair!

It sounds like Titus had quite the adventure getting to you!
Glad he's settling in well and that you've been able to figure out his idiosyncrasies, and I'm sure he'll be cuddling with everyone in no time

Hi! Welcome to Lair to you and Titus (who's name means fire in another language, there is no such word/name in Russian). Most likely it is Greek name. Sorry to hear about all trouble, I hope everything will be better very soon. Once again- welcome to Lair!

Here's a great BIG "Hi there & Hello" to you. I hope that Titus is feeling much better than when you first got him. Sometimes the beginning days can be rough but you will appreciate him all the more for it later. I speak from experience. Anyways, welcome!
