Hi everyone. Just got my new baby girl last night and she has been such an angel. Today, however, she had a bit of an upset tummy. She won't touch her dry food now, so I'm a bit worried. She did drink plenty of water and had some wet food. Is this ok?
I'm a new sphynx owner so I've got much to learn.
I look forward to meeting you all! :)

Often they don't eat or drink at all on the first day, so I would say you are fine. Are you using the same food she had at the breeder? If so, no worries.....as long as she ate the wet and is drinking. How exciting for you to have your new baby home. Congrats!

She has been eating and drinking lots since we picked her up last night. Unfortunately they don't sell the food she was on where I live, so I had to order it. I looked up the ingredients and they seem pretty similar to the one I have her on now. Thank you so much!

Hi Claire! Welcome to the BEST SITE on the Web! Your baby sounds like she's doing well, but if you are worried, speak to your vet when they open. You are probably going to take her anyway for her first checkup, so then you could run it by them. We are suckers for baby pictures, so don't be a stranger!

Congrats on your new holiday baby! I also found it took a while for our latest babies to eat, drink and use the litter box upon coming home. It is all due to stress. Can't wait to see pics!

Congrats on your new baby! After we picked up MiniE last month, we took her into the vet for a checkup to make sure everything was good and to get the vet familiar with our new family member. You might think about that just to be safe and you would not believe the ohhh and ahhhs you get at the vet bringing in a naked.

Can't wait to see pics :D

Hi and welcome to the Lair. I hope your new baby girl is starting to get more settled now.
When you said that she had an upset stomach...did she vomit or have loose poop?
Drinking plenty of water and eating wet food is a very good thing by the way. Don't hesitate to contact your breeder as well with any issues or concerns.

Hi. She is doing great. She vomited her first day, but only once. She drank plenty of water afterwards. It's been two days since and she hasn't had anymore problems and is back eating her hard food :)

That is great news. We all panic a bit when the babies seem a bit off when they come home. I don't blame them. I would be a wreck too in a whole new world. Just happy things are settling down for you and your baby!
