I just don't know what to do :(

Miami isn't great when it comes to Sphynx care as the breed is just too uncommon around here. Her vet is an AMAZING expert but it's just as if I need a specific doctor for her and I don't see any dermatologists in my area to take her to. Lilith has had this weird rash on the side of her body for a few months now and I've done changes in her diet (switched to rabbit protein only) and stopped using fabric softeners and dryer sheets entirely but she still sometimes has this odd flare up that just looks so uncomfortable. The only time I've seen it go away entirely is her initial vet visit when I noticed it the first time and they gave her a shot of covegnia.

Since then, she's had mild flare ups, she has taken some prednisolone, and I've been monitoring her food intake and what she lays on/sleeps in but it's all the same things, I just feel so bad because she's just shy of a year old and I already feel like she's had so many vet visits for little answers...does anyone know what could possibly be causing the flare up's? The ONLY thing I could think of is MAYBE it being her laying on her heating pad in the warm cat house I have for her but I don't have it set too high. Or maybe it's the half hour I let her be outside in her tent to watch birds. I just feel like I notice how red the little bumps get when she's walking up in the morning and it seems to fade/get a bit better during the evening hours.

Sorry to hear you are dealing with this issues. I think it is possible you are on the right track with the heating pad, specially cause you say the bumps are more red in the morning than in the evening. Maybe try and take the heating pad out for a few days?
Did the prednisolone help? My boy Toa had Uticaria Pigmentosa and is on Prednisone since he was just 2 years old. He is almost 12 now, still on Prednisone. Just sharing this so you know, even when Lilith has to stay on prednisolone, it is possible.

Thanks so much for the reply, I'm hoping that if it IS the heating pad, I can find something suitable for her to use while she isn't sleeping with me. She seeks it out when I'm not in bed with her sometimes and I do seek to notice it more during that time. I'm SO happy to hear your baby has been doing well, 12 years is truly a gift, I hope you have many more! She did seem to do well on the prednisone but the vet told me to stop it to see if it would return and it unfortunately did. :/ did your vet run a panel to see that what your baby had was UP? How long did it take for you to find out? Does he ever have flareups?
