Lulu's boys are doing well, Dulce's boy starting to sneeze while I was bottling him--not sure if that means he's coming down with the killer crud or not. Praying it was just a random sneeze or two....but knowing how it's been going, it probably wasn't....

Mine sneeze.. The first time(at about 3hrs old) I about had a stroke, I thought OMG they are getting a URI. Nothing ever came of the sneezing. They all do it once in a while..

I'm praying for them that a sneeze is just a sneeze...

Any preemptive measures you can take. Kick it out before it even starts. Maybe up Lulu's lysine/ vitamins etc so they are getting it through her milk. Maybe a phone call to the vet to see if he has any suggestions.

hugs

It's good to laugh. Pruney is my heart cat. He was kicked out of the nest, half dead when I came home and found him--he managed a scream when I walked through the door--was posturing and almost icy cold. Zapped a bunch of towels in the microwave to get hot, then wrapped him in them, while I also heated some formula to help warm him up --the whole while kissing him and begging him not to die. Then about two weeks later, he had grown extremely fond of his bottle, so when I got ready to feed him, I sat down on the floor and he knew what that meant--chow time! So he came running over and climbed on my lap. I realized I had forgotten something and put him down on the floor what I thought was a good distance away and stood up. It felt like I was stepping on a toy or something and I looked down to see Pruney flopping around on the floor! I had stepped on his head! He had a big hematoma forming on the back of his head and he again started posturing. I drove like a bat out of Hell to the emergency vet hospital an hour away, crying my eyes out! He spent the night in case he had a brain swell, I didn't sleep a wink...called every hour to check on his progress, spent an arm and a leg, but my sweet little boy came home the next day and has been a great little guy ever since. I couldn't bear to sell him because he wanted to be with me so badly that he defied death twice so he could be my little boy. I have a soft spot for my "Prunes". Here are a couple of pics of my little man:

Aww that story made me tear up. You just have to remember, animals die because it's survival of the fittest. It's in the genes, not anything you are doing. Human babies would die all the time too if not for modern medicine. It must be so hard, I know how proud you are of them. Please don't feel bad, you're great.

These kitties were very lucky they were born in your house! While they were there they were loved and cared for like no other. It is so hard to say goodbye after trying so hard to keep them alive and well. We are sending feel good vibes your way...
Love,
