Hey y’all,

I’ve been shopping around and comparing pet insurance policies over the last few weeks. I know these things vary wildly from person to person, but I was wondering what pet insurance companies people have had positive experiences with, particularly with Sphynx-related health issues.

members will surely chime in. read fine print . you can call companies and or check fine print online contract details. I did many years ago. also , some suggest getting insurance before wellness check and check wait periods , some are 30 days. many void pre existing and if a 1st wellness check detects a heart murmur even if it is just a stress related one and on recheck non detected, it could potentially follow kitties care giong forward as "pre existing" . check to if some require certain vaccines in small print. some breeder will void contracts if Felv vaccine given.

We use Healthy Paws. It is extremely easy to file a claim and they process them quickly. I have never had to hassle with them over a claim, and we have filed many over the years, with some being quite high. There are many options with premiums depending on what deductible and payout percentage you choose, which is nice. The problem with them, and all the others, is that the early years are quite affordable. As the kitties age, however, you will experience exponential premium increases. Also, be sure to heed very good advice above from Yoda mom!
