Hello there!

I’m a new sphynx mom so the smallest things worry me, please bear with me

My baby’s name is Kaito he’s 5 month old !
I got my baby to transfer from royal canon kitten dry food to raw completely fine .. until I got him neutered the doctor told me that I must feed him royal canin recovery wet food, which I did for 5 days he was fine..

I tried to get him back to RAW and he threw it up. An hour later ( he started eating very fast for some reason )

I feed him twice a day, I had to go back to the kitten RC although I don’t like this brand but he seems fine with it ( doesn’t throw up, still eats fast)

Anywho.. he had his cone for almost 10 days now and the doc told me not to wash him, I tried wiping him just to remove the oils off his body.. and while doing that I noticed small flat bumps forming around 4 until now and he’s been having really watery eyes with clear/ brownish mucus, sneezes once in a while (not severe) I got worried because it’s to better be safe than sorry please look at the pictures and let me know if it’s normal or going to be serious

What a handsome boy! Always hard to tell from a pic but the bumps look alittle like bug bites (mosquito's). I would watch it a day or two to see if more bumps plop up or if the bumps get worse looking.
Hope it turns out to be nothing serious.

Those bumps look like what my Ellie had when she had ringworm. Have you noticed any change today?

As for the food, what was the time separating the last kibble meal from the first raw? We know that mixing the two often results in puking so that’s why I’m asking.

Hey there, this is an update on my baby, as you can see in the pictures ..
They’re a bit blurry but that’s the best I can do since he moves a lot

There is a possibility it is ringworm as mentioned by @Sheldon.13 It can look different on hairless babies and not look like an actual ring. We rescued a girl who had it years ago. I would see your vet just to rule it out just in case.

I took him to the vet, it turns out to be a ring worm indeed.. thank you all

Thank you for updating us. It’s been MANY years since I went through having ringworm, how are they having you treat it? Back then it was bathing them 2 times a week. @KaitoTheBald your info will help us to help others in the future.

Hello!

The doctor gave me the medication you see down below,

He has a collar on so he won’t lick off his medication.

- First I need to wash the area with a cleanser (it was nameless), then spray Lamisil on it (twice a day.

- oral medication such as IRTACONAZOL, that’s once a day (1.5) ml daily for 7 days on then off 7 days then on. The doctor mentioned it’s harsh on the liver so he has to take Liv.52 2ml twice a day for three weeks afterwards which he hates the taste.

- I bought a shampoo for him and I’ll try washing him twice a week as you mentioned @Catzzzmeow ..

If you can see the attached photo the ringworm is turning darker ( afraid that it might turn to a permanent pigment) but I’ll love him either way ❤️

Over time the s-it’s will get even darker as they scab up and fall off. The girl we rescued had many spots and they eventually disappeared but it takes quite some time.
