Joined the sneezy kitty club...

My Fluffy has been sneezing on and off for the past couple of days but today has been sneezing constantly in fits of 20-30 sneezes in a row! She has constant runny eyes (all seasons) and has since I got her so that is not a new symptom. And since others have mention sneezy kitties and my sister has allergies that are acting up I figure she might have some allergies going on. Add in that I have been doing work around the house (including some spackling/sanding) so have created some dust, I figure I have contributed to her sneezing. I had closed off the rooms and not allowed them in where I was doing the work (except the kitchen where I have no control). I've closed off the attic to the two of them, which can be dusty to limit their exposure for now! And, I've given her some Zyrtec on the recommendation of my vet from the last time we were in for her allergies. Nothing seems infected or developed into a URI yet, and she ate 3 times already this morning. Might be time to get on the lysine train too...

I hope Fluffy feels better soon, lysine sure won't hurt I mix Max's with his wet food every morning.

Hmm- well she woke up from her nap and no purulent discharge from any place but now she is gurgling when she breaths and is opening her mouth a lot and licking at her nose (which is dry). I'll see how she is in the morning but we might be making a trip the the v-e-t tomorrow

someone appears to be feeling MUCH better today! No sneezing at all yet! And its already noontime! She managed to blow her nose the best a cat can this morning (all over the bed, might I add) and there has been no sneezing since then. A few little sniffles but nothing too serious! Perhaps we have turned a corner and just the talk of a v-e-t visit scared the snot right out of her!!

Indeed, washing a snot blanket is sure cheaper than a trip to the vet and a round of abx!
