Minimal news to report this morning:
We forced 1/4 of a can, we haven't seen him use the box yet. Of course, he could have gone while we were asleep. He didn't go and drink after force feeding this time, probably because with the amount he drank last night, I imagine he is well hydrated...
He looks better, and he's fighting us more. I'll be going home at noon to force feed again.
I think I'll weigh him at the same time. At his last checkup, he weighed 8.9 lbs Saturday he weighed 8lbs and last night at the vet he weighed 7.74 lbs I want to see how the force feeding and how much he drank has done for him -- not that the info will actually be useful at all but maybe it will be reassuring.

// looking at my writing I guess it shows that I didn't sleep well :sigh:

I'm sorry to hear that everyone is ill, but that Pharaoh has been having such a rough time. I hope Pharaoh is on the mend now. You also need some sleep.
Praying great news comes next.

Are you force feeding with a syringe or your finger? I had a mess with the syringe and did better just slapping food on our girls tongue.

Did you think about trying Susi's glop recipe to help gain weight?

Patti
We're using a syringe -- forcing his mouth open enough to smear on the tongue was a little too traumatic for both me (wicked shape teeth) and for him -- the glop recipe seems like a good idea, I'll go back and read up on it.

Great news!!!
after feeding the rest of the can at lunch, Pharaoh shot us the dirtiest look, sauntered over to the cat box, and after that went after the food dish like he was staving!
He's not out of the woods yet, but I think he might be coming out of it.

//oh yeah, lunch time weighing said he was weighing 7.9 lbs

Oh that is great news he started eating. At least you can be happy there is improvement in his eating and demeanor...lol. Hopefully you will get a good nights sleep tonight with less worries.

Bet you were never so glad to see the stink eye! I hoped the steroid shot would give him his appetite back. Hurray for steps in the right direction! Bordatella is treatable, c'mon Pharaoh, keep up the good work! Still praying.....please get some rest. You need to be ok too.
Much love,
Susi

I think we can safely say he's going to be fine.

Way to go Pharoah! Bad little boy, you gave everyone a big scare. Glad your starting to feel better. Let everyone get some sleep tonight.
