Well Friday morning Kram's eye was swollen, pink & watery (both were watery) I put some Terramycin in his eye until I could get to the vet to stain it for a scratch(since the boys play so rough). No scratch's were there & it looks like another bout of conjunctivitis so we switched to ointment with some steroids in it. He probably has super sensitive eyes which really sucks because of all things he hates are eye meds! So after this cycle of meds if anything else happens again I think we will be taking him to an eye specialist just to make sure there is nothing else that we are missing... Poor Kramer! After one day on the ointment with steroids it looks much better & he feels better, Beating Newman up again.

Thanks! We know he is super sensitive to a lot of things... he breaks out if you leave J & J shampoo on for a bit too long if he is real dirty & the bath is taking a little longer (until Newmans breeder gave us a bottle of what she uses & now no more breakouts! Thank God!) So why would his eyes be any different? LOL! Only I get all the animals with the issues... maybe cuz I always do whatever I can for them? Either way I would trade any of my medical rejects for normal ones! LOL!

Aw...that's why Kramer got lucky and ended up with you!

Make sure you remind him how lucky he is...when mine are being brats, I remind them that they could be living in a dirty cage somewhere so they better straighten up!

Well Kram's conjunctivitis turned into a cold  so he is all congested & not feeling well; Newmie too has it but not as bad as Kramie so they are both on meds oral & eye. I will try to get on the site & catch up tonight ; I'm in a wedding tomorrow & it's been a bit hectic trying to get everything done for that with 2 sick babies! Hope everyone is doing good!

Stella and I also hope both of them feel better! This conjunctivitis/feline-herpes monster that won't leave our little ones alone needs a good kick in the butt!

Thanks Everyone!!!! I think since the weather is changing here it doesn't help much! Chicago is weird at night it gets cold & during the day it is still hot so I think the fluctuations are part of it... one of the dogs is under the weather too! But this am they woke me at 5 am to them bouncing on the bed playing; as much as i wanted to sleep in a bit:Angry: (since it will be a long day... i am standing up in a wedding) I couldn't be mad since they are acting like their normal selves.

Update:

I took Kramer to an ophthalmologist & we did 4 weeks of erythromycin ointment in his eye to determine if it is herpes or chlamydia since the lab tests are not all that accurate & his eye issue is completely resolved! YAY! But he is now having a respiratory thing so we are going to try a cycle of extended antibiotics since he seems to need to be on everything for extended periods!
