Hi guys,

I took the plunge and purchased a sphnx which i have named Beerus-Sama(I'm a dbz super fan). I'm super excited but slightly anxious as im a nurse and i tend to work night shifts 12 hours about 4 times a week. Will my little one become lonely because of this?I really don't want another cat but I cant risk him becoming sad.

Welcome to the lair family! Look forward to pics and tales of Beerus-Sama!

We have several one kitty household members that do great - they will surely chime in with advice

I leave on radios , TV , kitty treat puzzles , timed laser toys etc .
They get into your routine - and sleep a lot
when you are home ,lots of play time and cuddles :)
With things like the Dabird pole toy (I put away after play bcz they can chew strings )

I worked 12 hr shifts 3 on 3 off in the past and had no problems

So excited for you!
Keep us updated on gotcha day we can count down with you!

Hope you can share a pic of Beerus -Sama :)
.here is a good link while you await gotcha day

Hopefully somebody can comment with kitten help. With rehoming an adult, I took a little time off of work to stay home and observe her daily habits. Mine is active when we get up, sleeps when we are gone during the day and is active when we get home but she's 2 1/2. Do you have a neighbor kid who can play with your kidney after school? My kids would have jumped on the chance to do that.

I'll be moving into a new apartment pretty soon so I wont really know my neighbors. :(

My baby did fine when I was working shifts

I timed my gotcha day during my shift rotation to have the most time
I am sure Beerus -Sama will be loved ,played with and cuddled beyond measure.

Interactive toys and several warm throw blankets
He will look up from his snoozing and say oh! Mums home time to eat play n cuddle!
And definitely kitty proof for life!

He will probably sleep while you're gone and be super-active when you get home. He will get used to your schedule and you will find that he will get up to mischief while you're gone, so you might want to kitten-proof the house now, especially toilet paper holders.

Welcome to sphynxlair. Beerus-Sama is adorable! And so beautiful.
I think he'll be fine. Leave blankets out for him and play with him before and after work and he'll be a happy boy!
