I'm a new sphynx mommy and I'm looking to put my five month old baby girl in a raw diet. But before i do i have been researching tons of info on if it's the right thing to do. So far the benefits of a raw diet out weighs the dry kibble. I do how ever have many questions for the experienced sphynx parents. the questions that i have are below all responses are welcomed.

I've been looking into the brand called better in the raw. How has this brand worked out for your sphynx? Does it cause hair growth? Is it worth the price?
Do you include raw meat? if so how do you prepare the raw meat?
Why do you like better in the raw?
How is the freeze dried food from the brand primal? Is it a good product?
Please share all your stories. But please keep it short and simple. Thank you

We use BITR 6 months now.
No hair growth, ours are bald as ever. Lean and muscular.
Totally worth the price, I order the largest bags.
We mix it with deer meat (which I get for free), I have a meat grinder and grind the meat then mix, package and freeze 100 lbs at a time.
They are healthy as ever, no issues with it.
Haven't tried primal brand.

Agree with everything mollysmom said.

Better in the raw is just a supplement you have to add raw meat, raw muscle meat eg. Ground beef or chicken.

You will get the same benefit of raw with primal freeze dried, it costs more than making your own with better in the raw but also takes less preparation. So weigh those up and see what works for you :)

that's great. Do you know if I can purchase bitr at pet supplies stores?, how is your cats teeth since the food is ground up? how long did it take for them to transition to the new diet? Thanks for you reply

I grind up chicken thighs and add the vitamins etc needed (I follow a recipe I found online by a veterinarian).
Also add primal now to change things up. Also sprinkle cat man doo dried bonito flakes on the food. My Rexie loves the food. Took a couple days to transition him. His poop is not as stinky nor watery... all positive!!
