Hello, it could be Pectus carinatum which is a genetic disorder. I would see your vet to see if he or she thinks you should be concerned. Welcome to the group! :)

Hi there! Yes it definitely juts out a little bit. I would be more worried though if it was concave (pectus cavernosum) because it would squish the organs inside. This is way is way less worrisome. But if you are concerned or it’s affecting normal behavior a vet visit is the safest bet!

welcoming you and your adorable baby. agree check with vet for peace of mind. Fwiw, my boy has a prominent chest, more noticeable because hairless and he is just fine, 10 yrs old. please keep us updated with what vet says. hugs n head smooches.

For what it’s worth, it could also be because he is a skinny kitten. As they grow and stretch and put on muscle sometimes those bony prominences disappear.
